1st Issue of GIMP Magazine

As I slowly try to merge two of my passions, Linux and photography, I am often in search of Linux photography resources. So I was very happy to learn that the first issue of GIMP Magazine has been released!

Something that keeps me using Adobe software is the abundance of resources available in print and online. I (and many other creative  professionals) regularly read magazines like Photoshop User to learn new techniques and keep up with the latest trends. Having similar trade magazines for Linux is very important. I see the launch of GIMP Magazine as another resource that can help make Linux more attractive for creative professionals.

Even if you don’t read all the articles, the Essential GIMP Resources section alone is worth the download. There is a ton of great links there that I have only begun to sink my teeth into xD

Congratulations to the editorial team and all who contributed on a fantastic first issue. I am looking forward to further issues and possibly contributing something myself.

If you like the magazine, please consider sending the team a donation via Paypal.

That’s disappointing, but it is only the first issue of the magazine. Hopefully as the magazine grows people will start to translate it into other languages. You can also use Google Translate.
