Riley Brandt is a professional portrait, editorial, and event photographer working in Calgary, Alberta.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a professional photographer for over 18 years. My experience includes photojournalism, portraiture, events, and many years at the University of Calgary covering post-secondary life.
My photographs have been published around the world. Some highlights include: The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, The National Post, CBC News, as well as various billboards and magazines.
I received my first award in 2009 for a two-page spread in Fast Forward Weekly featuring musicians recreating their favourite movie posters. Since then, I’ve consistently won awards for my photography.
I love what I do for a living. I get to step away from my desk, meet interesting people, and be creative. Capturing a genuine candid moment at an event or portrait shoot is still rewarding all these years later.
