I feel really lucky that as a photographer, I’ve had my work published in a variety of places. I remember how great it felt the first time I got a two-page spread in a newspaper.
Or how the first time my photos were published in a magazine I was so excited. As time goes on, it still feels great to see my work published, but to a lesser extent.
However, seeing one of my images used on a billboard really brought back that awesome feeling that puts a smile on my face. Despite being diagnosed with a heart irregularity, Justin Warsylewicz accomplished his dream by winning a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics
after going through catheter ablation treatment at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta. He is also a really great guy. For the last month, Justin has literally been larger than life on a billboard on Crowchild Trail in Calgary.
